Wk 7.2 Brainstorming + Brief Setup

Together we brainstormed the three songs we wanted to focus our play festival on and what visuals might go with this, combining our own takeaway from Warren's songs and his own discussion about them in the lecture today. We settled on titles for each of the plays and the title of the overall event! next is to decide on theme!

The title is 'The Season of Regrowth', and the play titles are 'The Protector', 'Preservation of Memory', and 'Nature of Man'. We are basically looking at how we can protect the earth for future generations, as well as a looking at Parihaka and how Te Whiti wanted to do the same thing.

We then filled out this rubric on what each media needs to engage with the audience. Although we filled it out so that the animation would be seen first, we have decided that we want the motion graphic and the poster to be 'before touchpoints'. We changed our minds on this because we though that the motion graphic and the poster would scoop up more interested people, rather than the poster being seen at the door to the theatre when someone has already purchased tickets. Posters can reach some people who wouldn't ever see the motion graphic, such as older people who see the posters when they are walking around town, or other communal places such as the library.
